How could I possibly sum up yesterday’s Aussie Curves meet up in just one post and really do it justice? I don’t think I can but I’m going to try my best. I chose my favourite restaurant Grill’d at Harbourside as they cater for most diets, everyone could easily order their own meals pretty cheaply and umm… they had these bad boys that I was determined to try.
I may have had one… or three.
We all ordered dinner, some had salads, some just had slushies but I knew what I wanted before I even arrived. Mustard and Pickles burger on seeded bun with regular fries and herb dipping sauce. It was perfection but I forgot how unladylike I am when I eat it.
This was me pre-burger.
I’d decided to try my hand at nail art. It was fun but not really for me.
So this is what I wore to the meet up. It was a cool drizzly day that was only going to get worse so I thought I’d rock some curls, lashes and layer some of my new and favourite black pieces together.

What I’m most excited about is the opportunity to show off what some of the other ladies wore…
Oh my gosh don’t they all just look amazing!!! After these were taken it had gotten too late to take any more pics and to be honest I was having too much fun at the table chatting to everyone. Everyone was quite nervous about having their photograph taken in front of a lot of strangers in a public place but they all gave it a red hot go and I have to say they all did an amazing job, so fabulous!
Talking about fabulous, I finally got to meet Jacob and catch up with Caitlin. These two are seriously the sweetest ever! He’s awoken something within her in the most magical way and I can see it in her eyes.

My eyes were firmly attached to her vintage red and gold embellished cape. I may have to ask super duper nicely if I can borrow it for FFFWeek. Doesn’t she look amazing in it!
Talk about amazing, check out Mele’s uber fabulous umbrella, it’s 100% recyclable too!

After getting lost a few times and getting stuck in the rain these gorgeous girls finally made it to the meet up. They had the funniest stories that left me clapping and slapping the table like I was about to wet myself. Totally worth the wait.
I sat at that table from 4pm-8pm and had the very best time, people coming and going as their schedule allowed. A lot of people thanked me for starting Aussie Curves but I just responded by thanking them because without their involvement Aussie Curves would just be an idea, not the ongoing project it’s become.

It was great to chat about New York and of overseas travel, of fashion, of beauty and of blogging. To see, touch and laugh with the people who only really ever existed behind a screen before. This is why blog meets are so important to me, it’s why I started doing them all those years ago, to broaden the connection. To bring an often digital life into a tactile environment and create lasting memories. Thank you so much to those who could make it last night. I’m so glad these women are in my life.
