This gorgeous skirt is the very first leather garment that’s graced my wardrobe and I’m not sure I could ever part with it. I’ve had it for about a year and when I wear it I feel expensive and edgy. Sometimes you need that, like when you’re going out to a new place with new people, the right clothing choice can give you a confidence boost. I firmly believe we dress to reflect the way we feel and sometimes if we get the combination just right we can dress a certain way and our emotions adapt to suit the look.
I knew I wanted to wear my new lace shirt with the skirt the instant I put the two together I got a True Blood kind of feeling and the theme song started playing in my head. So of course I needed a big southern quiff, long locks and blood red lips.

Normally I’d never wear a collar done all the way up like this but I thought it looked cool and it was actually quite comfortable, didn’t dig in at all. I added my prized crocodile brooch that I rarely get to wear. You have to be wearing something pretty badass to pull off a crocodile in my opinion and I’m thinking I’ll have to do it more often!
