Aussie Curves – Sydney Meet

Aussie Curves Sydney Meet-1

How could I possibly sum up yesterday's Aussie Curves meet up in just one post and really do it justice? I don't think I can but I'm going to try my best.  I chose my favourite restaurant Grill'd at Harbourside as they cater for most diets, everyone could easily order their own meals pretty cheaply and umm... they had these bad boys that I was determined to try. Sooooo goooooooood. I may have had one... or three. We all ordered dinner, some had salads, some just had slushies but I knew ... [ Discover More ]

Aussie Curves – Black & White

Aussie Curves Danimezza Plus Size Fashion Blogger Outfit Curvy Black White -2

The black and white fashion combination is truly a girls best friend and there are millions of ways you can incorporate it into your look. After staring at my wardrobe for awhile I decided to go all out in one of my favourite maxi dresses from Crossroads. It has a simple silhouette, a great neckline, stretchy fabric, a forgiving print and I'm pretty sure I got it on sale before Christmas. I'm wearing a size XXL. Aussie Curves – Nature

Aussie Curves Danimezza Plus Size Fashion Blogger Outfit Curvy Nature -1

I'm a little bit behind this week, actually I'm cutting it quite fine and publishing my post just before the linky closes for the "Nature" challenge. I've been busy, it happens. A few ladies who haveve entered the challenge late are actually making an effort to go right back and do the ones they've missed which I think is a spectacular effort. Don't have time to write up an Aussie Curves post? Then why not take a photo on instagram/twitpic and hashtag it #aussiecurves or join the Aussie Curves ... [ Discover More ]

Home Stylin

Yesterday I told you about my new fancy pants mirror... well after several hours of Aidan "helping" me put the drawers together there it is, the finished product. I'm over the moon. You can imagine me smuggly strutting about the house, proud of my flat pack constructing skills. Totally by surprise both the mirror and the drawers sit neatly side by side. I didn't plan on doing that but to be honest I really wasn't sure where I was going to put the bloody thing! It wasn't until I stepped back that ... [ Discover More ]

Change Room Confessions: Target 2

pink

This post is sponsored by Target Australia. Last month I showed you a few of the things I liked at Target and even pulled them into outfits. I was frank with you about the fact that I wasn't exactly blown away by the MODA range and I'm happy to report that Target appreciated my honesty. One thing I noticed a lot of people mentioning in the comment section of the last Change Room Confessions post was that most of you were having luck finding pieces in the standard size section which now goes ... Aussie Curves – Bling

aussieoutfit-08

I was really looking forward to this week's challenge but as with most things lately it was left to the last minute. Stephanie and I dressed up in our best bling and headed out to take photos. Finding a location presented it own challenge but as soon as I saw the giant trees covered in candy coloured lights I knew we'd found it. Aussie Curves – Mixing Patterns

Aussie Curves Plus Size Fashion Outfit White Woman Curvy ootd CLASH-1

My eyes hurt just looking at this post. I guess that wasn't really the point of this week's theme "Mixing Patterns" but I don't blame the outfit, it's the lurid acid lime green walls at my local shopping center car park. Suger took these photos for me and it seemed like a good idea at the time. We'd just had a lovely mexican dinner (hi food baby) and we were heading back to the car when I told everyone to stop so I could get my model on... would you believe no one batted an eyelid. Outfit photos ... [ Discover More ]

Aussie Curves – Orange

Aussie Curves Plus Size Fashion Outfit White Woman Curvy ootd ORANGE-1

I knew exactly what I wanted to wear for this week's challenge "Orange" and both items were brand new into my wardrobe thanks to the PSFWA Clothes Swap. When Gisela busted into the joint wearing one of her new creations I knew that at some point I'd have to try it on. Thankfully she's an awesome friend and let me prance about it in for awhile but then she said she loved it on me so much that I should keep it. Who in their right mind was going to say no to that offer? No one. The maxi skirt is ... [ Discover More ]

Aussie Curves – Dark

Aussie Curves Plus Size Fashion Outfit White Woman Curvy ootd DARK-1

I interpreted this week's theme "Dark" as more of a mood rather than a colour scheme. I was sent this beautiful Clements Ribeiro Swan dress from Evans several weeks ago but I never had a suitable event or occasion to wear it to, to really do it justice. When Suger came to stay we both knew I'd have to wear it for this week's challenge and it was so fun to have her take these photos for me. Suger also suggested that I wear my red hot pumps for the shoot to match my Make Up Forever, Aqua Rouge ... [ Discover More ]

Aussie Curves – Strapless

Aussie Curves Plus Size Fashion Outfit White Woman Curvy ootd STRAPLESS-1

Strapless... wow, now that's something I haven't done in awhile. For years I bought dresses and tops that were totally cute but seriously not practical, this is one of them. I bought it from City Chic many moons ago and I keep trying to sell it and then lose my nerve last minute. It's a size S and it really is a bit too small but I don't care, it's the fabric... I'm in love! Black Forrest Necklace - Wild Bling (similar) Blue Foil Strapless Top - City Chic circa 2007 Adore Contour ... [ Discover More ]

Aussie Curves – Pastels

Aussie Curves Outfit Plus Size Curvy Woman Brunette White Neon Pastel -1

I'm pretty pale, there's no denying it, so wearing lighter colours often leaves me looking washed out and a bit sickly so I was nervous about "Pastels". I knew during summer I'd want to embrace lighter clothing with easy layers and lots of white, it's a fun colourful trend I didn't want to miss out on. I decided to blend a pastel shade of aqua with white and neon to funk it up a bit. I also wanted to show you that white pants weren't just for old ladies or skinny women on yachts, big girls can ... Aussie Curves – Polka Dots

Aussie Curves Plus Size Fashion Outfit Curvy Danimezza Polka Dot-1

I don't own polka dot stuff anymore. I went through a phase a few years ago prior to Aidan, my true love is florals. I had to borrow a stock item I used in a photo shoot to be able to participate this week. It's a tankini top but because the support is so good I can wear it like a top without a bra, love that! Polka dots scream "RETRO" to me so I knew I'd have to wear these funky sunglasses Suger gave me a few months ago. Once I had the two items I built the rest of the outfit around them. I ... Aussie Curves – Skirt

aussieoutfit-08

This smile is a lie, this shoot was tough. My hunky "tripod" is currently overseas for work so there was no one around to help me take the pictures, you know, besides Aidan. I chucked an outfit on, set up the tripod and my remote failed, no matter what I did the thing wouldn't sync. What did I do? I put the camera on self timer and walked back and forth, back and forth like a goose. It took five times longer, most didn't focus but I was PMSing too hard to care. Yep, endometrial torture for the ... [ Discover More ]

Aussie Curves – Breaking The Rules

Before I get into this week's theme I really wanted to take a moment and say WOW IT'S BEEN 12 WEEKS!!! Thank you so much to all the ladies who have participated in Aussie Curves so far. I'm so proud of all you, reading your stories and seeing your own unique styles, sometimes to the point of tears. You move me. Ok, enough sappy business it's time to get on with this week's challenge: Breaking The Rules. It's very open to interpretation which is why I'm so excited about it. I planned to ... Aussie Curves – Picnic

AC_PICNIC-1

Last week's 'Stripes' theme was fun, it pushed me a little bit out of my comfort zone and I'm not even 100% sure I pulled it off. This week's theme is 'Picnic' which basically means no rules so I was determined to keep my look laid back and simple, everyday Danimezza style. I packed 'the most beautiful picnic basket in the world' with lots of delicious goodies for us to eat in the late afternoon sun. I made a fresh batch of brownies just for the occasion and splashed out on some yummy cheese. ... [ Discover More ]

Aussie Curves – Tribal

AC_TRIBAL-1

It's fun to break out of the mould a little, to try a look that's a little bit out of the square and for this week's theme "Tribal" I thought I'd do exactly that. I'm currently on Hayman Island so when planning my outfit the tribal theme was definitely injected with a bit of a tropical jungle vibe. Aussie Curves – Bold Nails

This is the second week of Aussie Curves and I'm totally proud and overwhelmed by the amount of support my little initiative has received. Remember, if you're a size 14+ and live in Australia/New Zealand you can play along. This week we're all posting about "Bold Nails" which is right up my alley and the perfect excuse to splash out on a manicure. My pretty pink digits are covered in Shellac, one of my favourite treats. I also thought this week would be a great opportunity to bust out my ... [ Discover More ]

Aussie Curves – Boots *EDITED

This is the start of something I've wanted to do for a loooooooong time and I'm seriously kicking myself for not getting the ball rolling sooner. "Aussie Curves" is a blog hop I've started with other lovely curvy ladies all around our beautiful country to show off our different tastes and sense of style through a weekly outfit challenge. DMNYC Chinese Food and Friends

It was my third night in NYC and Caitlin and I had been invited out to have Chinese for dinner with Jessica from Too Many Sequins and a few of her friends. I'll admit I haven't talked to that many international bloggers, just the few who have been around about as long as I have but none of them were attending FFFWeek. It was up to me to put on a brave face, admit I didn't know a single thing about anyone at the table, make a good impression and have a good time... but that's how new friendships ... Skinny Cargo

I fell in love with a pair of pants on the internet, this happens occasionally and is usually followed by a flood of doubt. Will they fit? If I bend over will they show my gorgeous crack? Will I get camel toe? You know, these are the big questions women ask themselves when they take the risk of buying pants online. Since I'm usually the one convincing you to buy all those pretty things on my Curvy Couture pinterest board I figured I should be the one to take a risk, to sacrifice my savings and ... How To Take Awesome Instagram Outfit Photos

@alaaajady

Snapping my outfits quickly with my iPhone before I leave the house has changed the way I share my passions online and introduced me to a whole new world of "everyday fashionistas". The photos I posted when I started using Instagram were quite crude, kind of boring and lacked a bit of imagination. It's only after a few months of watching, engaging and learning about instagram and outfit photos in general that I've picked up a few tricks to make your outfit photos as awesome as they should be and ...
